Fans of “When Calls the Heart” have had to make a lot of emotional adjustments since the tragic and shocking end to Season 5 in April. The transition of losing the character of Jack Thornton, and being without the “best scene partner” ever in Daniel Lissing, per the words of his co-star, Erin Krakow, left the cast of the Hallmark Channel’s most beloved drama at a loss, much like the characters of Hope Valley. The good news is that in real life, Daniel Lissing is sure to be destined for a bright, creative career, and his fellow actors wish him nothing but the best.
As they expressed in unison in their last “on-air” time together, Daniel remains part of the Hallmark Channel “family,” and it is virtually a promise that he will be seen again. Once an actor becomes part of a Hallmark production, his or her legacy last forever.
Lori Loughlin, who both stars and co-produces “When Calls the Heart” worked with the actors, the production crew, and executive producer, Brian Bird, to provide faithful fans with as much fulfillment as possible in the close of Season 5. Now, fans can relive the cherished, lovely wedding of Elizabeth and Jack through the summer, and at the same time, look forward to Elizabeth bringing her child with Jack into the world, and raising the little one with her plucky “Thatcher” spirit, with the love, support, comfort and counsel of the community of Hope Valley.
In the meantime, wedding fever seems to have become contagious for the “When Calls the Heart” favorites, and it's taking many forms, and still filling the summer with blissful joys.
Nothing like a wedding
Like the other estimated one billion people across the globe, Erin Krakow found herself captivated by the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Not only was the lovely brunette up with her English breakfast tea, she was well-practiced like little Princess Charlotte on the royal wave, as she shared with fans on social media.
The actress also gushed with love to “The Bachelor” franchise’s favorite tearful trooper, Ashley Iaconetti, who recently posted that “this love was worth the wait,” referring to her relationship with Jared Haibon.
Like her ever-believing character, Erin Kraków clearly believes in love and the spirit that she brings on and off camera to “When Calls the Heart” and other film projects radiate an inner strength and beauty beyond any tricks of a makeup artist.
Such a beautiful #RoyalWedding

Wishing the bride & groom the very best! 💓
Never too late for a bride
Erin Krakow’s castmates, Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith, who portray Rosemary and Leland Coulter on “When Calls the Heart,” were also very busy on the Royal wedding May 19, promoting the brand-new selection of Hallmark Channel wedding movies airing in June, which also includes a revisit of their “The Perfect Bride” nuptial jewel from last year.
The two stars shared clips of getting overtaken by giggles and laughed about the origins of “the wedding party” (meaning the number and dress of those involved in a wedding). Hutton tossed her trivia card on the subject, saying “I didn't even have a wedding party,” gleefully.

Niall Matter, who is another co-star with Erin on “When Calls the Heart,” playing the part of Shane Cantrell, and also as her love interest in the “Father Christmas” series, featuring a wedding this coming Christmas.
For the summer, Matter will star in “Love at First Dance” with Becca Tobin from “Glee.” Fans have already been assured that Erin Kraków will find love again as Elizabeth Thatcher, but the who, where, and when has yet to be revealed. Whenever it comes, love is meant to be celebrated and cherished, in big and small ways, forever.
