The Billboard Music Awards is one of the most watched events on television and there are plenty of awards given for songs, albums, and artists, though not for the stunning outfits. From bold colors to subtle statements, celebrities have found many ways to make people talk about the fabric they wear.
BTS a.k.a. The Bangtan Boys
When the seven-piece Korean boyband surfaced in 2013, they joined the boy-band scene along with One Direction.
But five years later they are still going strong. In 2016 they reached the Billboard 200 with the highest ranking K-pop album ever: "Wings." They reached the top 100 charts with the song "DNA" in 2017 as well. At the awards they won top social artist and debuted a new song: "Fake Love." Their outfits were colorful and showcased their individuality, but also connected them as a group.
Kelly Clarkson
This past season on "The Voice," Kelly Clarkson has been a judge, helping the contestants move up in the competition. Throughout the night she had eight outfit changes, beginning with a black dress by Christian Siriano.
As host, she introduced many of the performers and sang some songs of her own. Other outfits included four other black dresses and suits, a gold-sequined suit, and a shimmering gold fringe dress.
Dencia
Camerooninan singer Dencia showed up in a starfish-like outfit reminiscent of Lady Gaga in 2008. Her bold look boosted her celebrity as she has mostly been known for being in music videos for Chris Brown, 50 Cent, and Ludacris. She has also released a skin care line and has created looks for Nicki Minaj and Rihanna for the red carpet.
