With the victory of the first installment of "Deadpool" which premiered in February 2016 bringing $132 million at the box office, it was logical that we would see a sequel so soon after the first "Deadpool." For an R rated movie, that amount broke many records; now it is a waiting game to see how the second installment will do.

Deadpool 2,” which premieres May 18, brings us our favorite antihero, Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) back to the big screen. As audiences learned in the first film, Wade Wilson was forced to change his life after falling terminally ill with cancer.

'Deadpool 2' Wade Wilson is a different man

Wade Wilson becomes a different man after being put through the Weapon X Project in which he is tortured and ultimately disfigured.

However, this also gives him healing abilities comparable to those of Wolverine. During the first film, Fans followed the superhero on his quest for revenge and self-discovery. In the trailer for “Deadpool 2,” we see our superhero meet with some worthy foes and a new team.

Ryan Reynolds, who is returning as Deadpool, has been teasing for what seems ages, about this sequel. The release date could not be further. If you keep up with Reynold’s social media accounts, you know that he has been teasing audiences with clips and trailers of the upcoming movie.

Will ‘Deadpool 2’ do as well as its predecessor?

The sequel will bring the return of many cast members like Brianna Hilderbrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus and Karan Soni as Dopinder, the taxi driver.

The comeback of previous faces is always a treat, but new cast members are joining in on this sequel which has fans ecstatic. Joining Deadpool’s forces we will see Terry Lewis as Bedlam, Zazie Beetz as Domino and “It” and “Hemlock Grove” actor Bill Skarsgård as Zeitgeist. Audiences patiently wait for what these new names will bring to the table.

"Deadpool 2" is about our antihero coming across a new opponent, Cable (Josh Brolin) and bringing together his team of mutants. If the first film gives us any hint as to the path of the sequel, we audiences can expect a fun, action-packed movie that moviegoers are waiting to see and more.

There are so many things to watch out for, can audiences be sure that "Deadpool 2" will live up to the hype it has received? One thing is for sure, Ryan Reynolds will deliver the quick-witted and foul month antihero that broke records in 2016.
