It seems things aren’t going too well for “Little People Big World” star Matt Roloff. Since the trailer for the reality show’s Season 13 came out, there’s been talk of Matt not being too happy with his current situation. On April 12, he opened up on social media about feeling down. “Whenever I’m feeling a bit down – I go bond with my barn wood collection,” Roloff said as he gave his followers a tour of his impressive collection of lumber.

Matt and Amy conundrum

Matt didn't say why he was feeling down but some fans pointed fingers at his ex-wife.

Matt and Amy Roloff divorced in May 2016 after 28 years of marriage. They agreed both will still live on the property but in separate houses. They also share responsibilities in their businesses, particularly with Roloff Farms.

It was initially difficult for the two to move on with their lives after so many years together. Matt and Amy eventually found new love in Roloff Farms manager Caryn Chandler and real estate agent Chris Marek, respectively. However, things still tend to get awkward between them. Amy said, “Even though it’s a challenge with Matt and I living on the farm together, being divorced but still business partners, we are still doing our best to communicate with one another.”

Ex-wife Amy and Caryn, the new girlfriend

Amy Roloff said in a previous episode that she finds it difficult to have Caryn around.

According to the “Little People, Big World” matriarch, it’s hard for her to extend Chandler an invitation to Roloff family events. She said that it’s “still hard to invite Caryn to some of the family events” because she’s an employee who’s “in a personal relationship” with her ex-husband. Amy also said that she’d “rather minimize the personal interaction” with Caryn because “it’s not healthy” for her.

Some “LPBW” fans thought that Amy was being unfair to Matt and Caryn. “Why is it that for Amy it seems like its okay for Chris to be involved in family events but she acts like Caryn shouldn’t be,” asked one fan. “I agree, it isn’t right. You and Caryn have just as much [right] to be included with everything about your children and grandchildren,” another told Matt.

LPBW fans Blame Amy for Matt feeling down

Some “Little People Big World” fans suspect Amy is the reason why Matt is feeling down. Matt and Caryn are apparently having issues with Amy in the picture. Chandler said she doesn’t want them to make decisions based on what Amy would think.

Amy should be more grateful that you have created a wonderful legacy for your children and grandchildren. [Enough] of Amy and her attitude!! Hang in there Matt,” one “LPBW” fan commented on Instagram. “Amy is rude, disrespectful toward you. Someone needs to knock her down a few pedestals,” another added.

A Facebook follower said she would be depressed if she was in a similar situation as Matt Roloff. The “Little People, Big World” fan suggested that Matt build a new home in another part of the land far from the main house where Amy stays.

Another supporter echoed this sentiment saying building a new home on Roloff Farms would keep him busy. She offered a few words of encouragement telling Matt not to let Amy get him down.

Matt admitted being in the same place as Amy hasn’t been easy has caused some problems. “Coexisting with Amy has its ups and downs, still living 500 feet apart, Matt said. “You know, there’s good days and bad days and we just take it day by day.”

Selling Roloff Farms

Matt Roloff has been tinkering with the idea of letting go of the farm. The reality TV star has had discussions with Amy and the rest of the family about its future. Based on what’s been shown on the new season of “Little People, Big World” so far, Amy isn’t too keen on selling the farm.

She’s also adamant that she has no plans of leaving.

Unfortunately for Matt and Caryn, this means they can’t entirely keep their distance from Amy. This has fueled rumors that Matt is planning on moving away, a probable reason why he is considering selling Roloff Farms. He’s also been seen looking at houses in the Arizona area.

With the controversies surrounding them, it’s understandable that Matt Roloff is feeling down. But as fans pointed out, there are lots of reasons for him to cheer up. Many brought up his children and grandchildren, Jackson and Ember Jean Roloff, as the best reasons not to feel sad
