Ryan Edwards really has managed to make a mess lately. Last week, the "Teen Mom OG" dad was arrested after reportedly missing a court-ordered drug test. His arrest came just after Mackenzie Standifer revealed that she was pregnant with their first child. To make matters worse, Ryan was outed for cheating on Mackenzie on Tinder amid all the drama and now, things are getting even worse for the MTV star.

It turns out that Maci Bookout filed for a protective order against Ryan before his arrest. In the filing and before all of this other drama even started.

She named herself and all of her children, including Bentley, who is fathered by Ryan. Taylor McKinney also filed an order of protection to keep Ryan away.

Maci accuses Ryan of making threats

Radar Online was able to obtain a copy of the protective orders from the Hamilton County Circuit Court where the paperwork was filed on March 23. She claims that while under the influence of heroin, Ryan Edwards threatened to hurt her and that she's scared for her safety and the safety of her children.

“He has left voicemail messages threatening to show up at my house and take my son,” she claimed. “He has made threats to show up and hurt me if I don’t answer my phone.”

Considering Maci's accusation that Ryan has threatened to come and take Bentley from her, it makes sense that she'd want an order to keep Ryan away from him as well.

According to the report, some of Ryan's alleged threats dated back to May 2017 when Maci says her ex showed up to one of Bentley's baseball games while he was high and yelled at her, threatening to hurt the "Teen Mom OG" star.

Ryan's erratic behavior

Maci explained further why she was so worried about Bentley spending time with Ryan.

She claims to have proof that Ryan drives under the influence. There's plenty of proof to go around. Ryan was filmed for "Teen Mom OG" while he was reportedly under the influence. Soon after the scene was aired, Ryan went back to rehab for his heroin addiction.

In her filing, Maci requested that Ryan is not allowed to come near her home or workplace.

Given his current situation, Maci said in the filing that she's worried he might try to harm her or one of the kids. As for how a protective order might affect his visitation with Bentley, Maci has said that currently, Ryan Edwards has no legal custody of their son.

Maci Bookout was granted a temporary restraining order when she initially filed. A hearing to decide if the order will be made permanent was scheduled for Monday. An update regarding the ruling, whether it is in her favor or not, will be coming shortly.
