Derick and Jill Dillard have still been doing Mission Trips, but they are doing it a bit different. Now they are with their church, and a lot more are in the United States instead of leaving the country. In Touch Weekly shared that the couple recently gave their fans an update on their latest Mission Trip. Their latest trip was to Colorado. Fans really worried about them when they were out of the country with their small children.
What was this mission trip?
The couple went to their blog and made a post about the trip. It said, "As part of our role in helping the 'church plant' in community outreach, we volunteered at a food pantry to help organize food." They explained that this wasn't all that they did.
They helped out the homeless in the area by making meals for them and delivering them. This is a great way to help the community. They also took pizza to the police, military, and firemen in the area. Another thing they did was even take dog treats to the dog park and pick up trash around town. It sounds like Derick and Jill were really helping out the community along with their church.
Their reason for this mission
It was explained that they wanted to show everyone in the area that they were there without any strings attached to help the community out. They were with The Bridge Fellowship and were showing them in a good light to the community. It sounds like they really did help out the community.
During this trip, Jill Duggar Dillard also walked an hour and ten minutes to take her boys to Chick-Fil-A. She really did upset some fans by seeing that her oldest son was walking while they younger one Sam was in the stroller. This was a pretty long walk just to get food, but she didn't seem to mind.
It doesn't sound like the fans will be seeing any of this on the show.
Derick isn't going to be on the show at all anymore, and it seems like they aren't showing much of Jill either. The fans do miss getting to see about this couple since they have watched them through their life and even watched Jill grow up on the show. Maybe they will decide to show her once in a while at least.
