Jazz Jennings has been through a lot trying to get it where she can get her Gender Reassignment Surgery done. Last season on "I Am Jazz" they explained to hear that she would need to lose a bit of weight before she could get it done. Now, according to Life & Style, Jazz is squared away and going to be able to get the surgery done.This will be happening for her in just two short months.
Why can Jazz have the surgery?
Jazz shared with People saying that she is going to get to have the surgery done, which is a good deal for her. She said, "I have reached the 30-pound goal!
And I've actually lost a couple of extra pounds. I'm hoping to lose about 10 more, just as my personal goal. I'm very happy with my progress, and I'm on track for my surgery!" This surgery is something that Jazz has always wanted to get done, but it took her a bit to get there. The fans saw her struggle with trying to lose the weight on the show, but she was able to do it.
She will actually be having the surgery in June. That means that it is almost time for Jazz to get this life-changing surgery. It will be happening. She admits that she might be a bit nervous right before the surgery when it gets closer. Right now, Jazz is excited about it. At least she has some friends who have had it done already that she can lean on for advice.
What will change for Jazz?
A lot of things will change for Jazz Jennings, but one of them will be that her entire body will be that of a woman. This will make it where it will be easier for her to go into the women's restroom without being judged. Jazz has always considered herself a girl, but having all of the body parts is going to really help her out.
Hopefully, news will come out soon about when "I Am Jazz" will come back for another season. The fans can't wait to see how Jazz is doing and get updates on her surgery. It will be great if the camera is rolling while she is getting ready for the surgery and after it is done. The fans really want to see her go through this seeing that they have watched her get ready for this big part of her life to change.
At first, her dad wanted her to wait until she was 18 to have the surgery, but she will be going ahead and getting it done. He agreed to let her do it earlier.
