A very rare elvis presley concert poster from 1955 recently sold at a North Carolina auction for $42,500, which was more than double the expected price. Billboard reported that the vintage concert poster was an ad for one of Elvis Presley's first shows that took place on May 19, 1955, in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The rare and valuable Elvis collectors' item has described an advertisement for a concert where Presley was in the lineup with entertainers Hank Snow, Faron Young, and other acts. The poster was made by the Nashville, Tennessee printing company, Hatch Show Print.
The only information revealed about the buyer, who asked to remain anonymous, was that he was an Elvis Presley fan from California.

Why Vernon kept such an item is not known. The auction house placed an $11,000 reserve price on the personal garment, however, the underwear didn’t sell, according to Rolling Stone.
