Jenelle Evans and David Eason haven't had the most stable relationship and nearly called off their wedding just one day before tying the knot. So, when it comes to their future, fans are wondering how long they will last -- and suspecting that Evans may boot Eason following his firing from "Teen Mom 2" at the end of last month.

On February 27, In Touch Weekly magazine shared a report, claiming that Evans and Eason could soon split because Eason will no longer be appearing on the MTV reality show. As fans of the series likely know, Eason was canned by the network last week after sharing a slew of homophobic messages on his official Twitter account.

A short time after the tweets were shared, Eason deleted his account entirely.

Jenelle Evans' storyline on 'Teen Mom 2' is bound to change

Jenelle Evans hasn't released a statement in regard to her thoughts on David Eason's firing but when it comes to her future with the show, it may be hard for producers to continue filming her with her husband and their marriage absent from her storyline. That said, she's not yet suggested that she would be willing to walk away from Eason if it would mean her role on the show could increase.

While MTV has stayed mum on their future plans with Jenelle Evans, it seems highly unlikely that they would be able to cover her story on "Teen Mom 2" in the way that they have in years past.

After all, a major portion of her life (her marriage) is now off-limits to the cameras. Eason has also made it clear in the past that he needs his wife to stand by him. So, some fans of the series have wondered if he will encourage her to quit the show.

Jenelle Evans and David Eason caused controversy throughout February

Before David Eason shared his homophobic tweets, he and Jenelle Evans sparked a scandal when they chose to share a photo of Evans holding a massive gun just hours after 17 students and teachers lost their lives to a gunman in Parkland, Florida.

Then, in the moments that followed, the couple refused to apologize, with Evans simply saying that her post was nothing more than "bad timing." As for Eason, he defended his photo and even made the image his profile image after fans criticized him.

To see more from Jenelle Evans and her co-stars, including Kailyn Lowry, Leah Messer, Chelsea Houska, Briana DeJesus, Javi Marroquin, Corey Simms, Jeremy Calvert, and Cole DeBoer, don't miss the upcoming premiere of "Teen Mom 2" later this year.
