Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth ended up having her baby in the hospital, which isn't normal for a Duggar. They usually decide to opt for a Hospital Birth. It turns out that in a new video on the TLC GO app, Joy talks all about the reason that she chose to go to the hospital. It sounds like this was what she had to do. This video hasn't aired on television, so the fans are just finding out some new information about the baby. This is great that they shared this short video to give fans an update and explain why she didn't have a home birth.

Joy was having a hard time at home

It turns out that Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth was having a hard time trying to have her son at home. She detailed all in this TLC GO video, so if you want to watch it you can log in with your television information and watch it. She does admit that they didn't know the gender and weren't even sure of a name yet. This is a 20-minute video.

Joy had some of her family over to help with the labor, but Jim Bob wasn't there. He ended up getting a message that she had to go to the hospital. This has happened with some of the Duggar births in the past as well. They still always try to have a home birth and hope that it works out.

What happened at the hospital?

Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth's baby was actually breech after she spent 20 hours in labor.

That is a pretty long time and it sounds like things just weren't going to happen at home. Things ended up working out and Gideon was born really healthy and it seems like all is fine. Joy and Austin are really happy with their little boy. In the future, she may consider doing a hospital birth, but you never know. Sometimes after you have had one c-section the doctor decides that it is best just to schedule and do it that way all over again.

Some of this may end up playing out on the show, but you never know. They aren't even showing about her birth yet. On the episodes airing right now Joy is still pregnant. They may do a special about his birth or it may not end up airing for quite some time. They have done it different ways in the past. The fans really enjoy seeing all about Joy's new son and how she is doing as a parent.
