Heather Locklear has extended her stay in rehab from 30 days to 60 days. According to Radar Online reports, the "Melrose Place" star decided more time was needed to deal with her addiction issues. This is Locklear's sixth and posibly seventh attempt at kicking her drug and alcohol addiction issues.

Heather Locklear plays rehab card before court date

As previosuly reported, Heather Locklear recently was arrested on February 25th for Domestic Violence and four counts of battery against a police officer after a 911 call was made by her brother, reporting a violent altercation between Heather and her current boyfriend at her Thousand Oaks home.

Former 'Melrose Place' star could face five years in jail

Locklear (who was due in court on March 13th) was a no-show but was granted a reschedule per the request of her attorney. Locklear could face Jail Time for her crimes. The violent domestic dispute between Heather and her boyfriend took an even worse turn for the actress, who resisted arrest, kicked, swung at, and threatened to shoot police officers who were attempting to place her in the squad car.

The sad event took place not only in front of Locklear's brother, but also her 20-year-old daughter Ava Sambora. Ava reportedly suffered some major trauma during the event. She has since left California and is currently vacationing with her father, Heather's ex-husband and former Bon Jovi lead guitarist Richie Sambora, 58.

Heather Locklear (who was very intoxicated at the time) signed herself into rehab the following day. Locklear has a very long and public account of her many troubles with alcohol and drugs. She also has a previous history with domestic violence and mental health issues, resulting in six previous rehab attempts, three reportedly in 2017 alone.

“Heather has now paid for two months of rehab,” a source exclusively revealed to RO, “so she will be there longer than the one month she originally planned.” The "source" also allegedly revealed that during her $144,000 rehab stay Heather has no access to her phone or communication outside the facility. She is, however, permitted visitations with her boyfriend, Chris Heisser.

Heisser was also arrested (hours after Heather Locklear's arrest) for a DUI. Considering the history of violence, alcohol, and drug use between the couple, some might wonder if it is a good idea for him to visit this early in Heather Locklear's recovery process.
