The fans were shocked to hear the news that Ashley Iaconetti and Kevin Wendt were over. This couple seemed to get along great on "Bachelor Winter Games" and when they shared their update they were still together. There was even talk that Ashley lost her virginity to him.
Ashley shares "harsh" reason it is over
The couple won "Bachelor Winter Games" and less than a month later were over with and moving on. Kevin actually appeared on her podcast to talk about it. This podcast is called "The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast". It turns out that the spark just wasn't there and they admitted to it.
They seem to be okay with the fact that is over.
Ashley went on to say, "It sounds a little harsh but it's just that lack of magic. We get along very well, but there's just a little something missing and you can't really pinpoint what it is. That's just how I feel." It seems like they were not perfect for each other and that is okay.
Kevin shares his side
Kevin even said that if they were on an island together they would get along really well. It sounds like once they were out in the normal world things just didn't work. He is from Canada and she is from the United States. That couldn't make it easy for them either. They basically seem to have realized they wouldn't work in the real world and they are both fine with that.
It doesn't sound like either one of them are heartbroken by the split. He did have to miss her birthday because of work and it sounds like that is what made them realize that it just wasn't going to work out.
Kevin Wendt even teased that he is the one who got friend zoned this time. Ashley has shared that this happens to her all the time, but it seems like it isn't her that it happened to this time.
Kevin does realize the split makes sense. It doesn't look like the fans should be holding out for these two to get back together at all. They admitted that they talked to the fans so they know the truth instead of just thinking up crazy ideas that aren't even what really went on between them. It sounds like this was the best way to handle things.
