"Sister Wives" star Aspyn Brown recently announced that she was engaged to Mitch Thompson. The fans haven't been able to see him on the show just yet, though. Now it turns out that viewers have seen his sister on television, though. She is actually on the show "Seeking Sister Wife." This airs on TLC after "Sister Wives" each week. His sister is Vanessa Alldredge. The fans didn't realize this at all, but a lot of people in the polygamy lifestyle go to the same churches and run in the same circles, so it makes total sense.
How did these two meet?
Aspyn and Mitch both went to the same church growing up.
This means that he wasn't shocked to hear that she was in a polygamist family and understood it all. That had to make things a bit easier on them. She explained the details saying, "We were raised in the same church group, and I had a little crush on him. We went different directions until a rally some of my family attended in Utah, where we both happened to be. My dad’s brother asked what ever happened between us, which was nothing, because neither of us did anything about it. So I decided to call him.” It turns out that it worked for them.
Could these two become polygamist?
So far, none of the Brown children have admitted that they want to live a polygamist lifestyle. Maddie and Mykelti are both married and have said that they have no desire to live that lifestyle at all.
Now the fans are wondering if Aspyn will want to since her new husband is used to that lifestyle as well. The fans will have to wait to see if they end up deciding that this is what they want to do. It does sound like she might be more likely to do it than some of her siblings would be.
The current episodes of "Sister Wives" are doing well, but they are from a year ago.
This means that the viewers aren't seeing Aspyn's new fiance just yet. The fans want to get to know him better, but they are going to have to wait it out until they get to that part of the show. There have been some rumors that this show could end up canceled after this season and the fans would be really unhappy if that was how it went down.
Are you shocked to hear that Aspyn's fiance is related to someone from "Seeking Sister Wife"? Do you think this means she will end up going into the polygamy lifestyle? Sound off in the comments below on your thoughts, and don't miss new episodes of both of these shows on Sunday nights on TLC. Maybe Mitch will end up showing up on "Seeking Sister Wife" because that would be interesting for sure.
