"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" is facing ongoing rumors regarding the potential cancellation of the series. According to several reports, the series' ratings haven't been good and after pulling in a whopping 4 million viewers at its peak, the series has been on the decline and reached a low of 1.44 million viewers during the show's seventh season.

On February 9, All About the Real Housewives shared a report in regard to the recent rumors plaguing the show, noting that while a number of outlets have claimed that the show's eighth season could be its last, that is simply not the case.

That said, reports claiming producers are struggling to find women to join the show may be spot on. As the outlet explained, Bravo TV is having trouble convincing affluent women in New Jersey to join the cast.

Bravo TV is actively searching for new 'RHONJ' cast members

In recent months, producers of the reality series have reportedly become so desperate to find women for the show that they have actually taken to social media and begun to share ads in hopes of finding future cast members. In one ad shared on Instagram, a woman asked for women living in Bergen County to apply for a role.

According to All About the Real Housewives, Bravo TV is having a hard time casting the upcoming season of "The Real Housewives Of New Jersey" because they are looking to find women who have a real connection to the existing cast members, including Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs, and Danielle Staub.

In addition, they want their ideal women to have "serious money."

While no one has signed on quite yet, producers are rumored to have their eyes on a number of new girls, including one person who reportedly has "major connections" to the current cast members, and some of the past cast members of the show. Luckily, according to the outlet, it appears that Bravo TV has some time to get their New Jersey cast assembled because filming isn't set to begin until March or April.

Siggy Flicker quit 'RHONJ' in December 2017

In mid-December, after starring in "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" for two seasons, Siggy Flicker announced that she would not be returning to the show for season nine. “Season 9 will include last year's cast, minus Siggy,” an insider revealed to All About the Real Housewives in January. In addition, the source added, “It is possible that we will meet a fresh face or two next season.”
