Caroline Manzo and her sister-in-law, Jacqueline Laurita, could be set for a return to "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" for the series' upcoming ninth season. According to a new report, producers are reportedly thinking about approaching the two women, who both appeared as original cast members during season one, in regard to bringing them back to the show.
On January 17, Us Weekly shared a report in regard to the potentially impending casting shakeup of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," claiming Caroline Manzo played coy when they asked the former reality star if Bravo TV producers had approached her.
“It’s not a no and it’s certainly not a yes," Manzo told the magazine. "It’s a who knows,” she added.
When did Caroline and Jacqueline leave 'RHONJ'?
As Us Weekly magazine revealed to readers, the 56-year-old restaurant owner quit "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" in 2013 after starring on the show for five seasons. From there, she and her family began appearing in their own spinoff series on Bravo TV titled "Manzo'd with Children," which aired for three seasons.
As for Jacqueline Laurita, she also left the show after five seasons but was brought back midway through season six due to an alleged ratings decline. As fans will remember, Dina Manzo was brought back to the show for a one-season run during season six.
The following year, she once again appeared on the show in a full-time role, but left the series again one year later.
Is Caroline Manzo open to rejoining the 'RHONJ' cast?
While Caroline Manzo is definitely open to the possibility of returning to her role on Bravo TV for season nine of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," she made it clear to Us Weekly magazine that she would have to think long and hard before signing any deals.
As she explained, becoming a part of the cast once again isn't something she would immediately embrace. Instead, she would have to consider the possibility of once again exposing her life for the world to see.
As for who she is still in touch with, Manzo is on good terms with Jacqueline Laurita and is also friends with Dolores Catania.
As for Melissa Gorga, she said they weren't close but noted that she didn't have an issue with her. "And [Teresa Giudice] is Teresa, that’s no secret there,” she also said.
To see more of the cast of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," tune in to new episodes on Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV. The series is currently in the midst of its multi-part reunion special.
