Jenelle Evans is reportedly not filming "Teen Mom 2" at the moment, despite the fact that production is currently in motion on the new season. As rumors continue to swirl about Evans' potential firing from the series, news has hit the web, claiming that MTV has put filming on the new season with Evans and her family on hold indefinitely.
Earlier this month, after the February 14 school shooting in Parkland, Florida, Evans was involved in a gun scandal when she and David Eason heartlessly shared a photo of her holding a gun that appeared to be similar to the one used by the shooter.
Eason then faced more backlash after he went on a shocking rant against the LGBT community and shortly after doing so, MTV announced they would no longer be working with him on "Teen Mom 2."
MTV has pulled their film crew out of North Carolina
While MTV only said they were firing David Eason after the scandals, Radar Online revealed to readers on February 27 that the network had yanked their crew from Evans and Eason's home in North Carolina, sparking rumors of her own possible firing. As the outlet also noted, MTV told their followers on Twitter last week that there was still six weeks left of filming.
“It seems like MTV is done filming with [Jenelle Evans] for the season,” an insider explained to Radar Online. The source said that at this point in time, they feel that they have enough footage to use for the new season and don't need to film any additional scenes. The insider then added that Evans' return for another season is currently up in the air. "Her status for another season is what they’re discussing now if they’ll fire her from the next one,” the source said.
The 'Teen Mom' franchise has lost a couple of its stars
In addition to the recent firing of David Eason from "Teen Mom 2," MTV is also down one of its cast members of "Teen Mom OG": Farrah Abraham. As fans of the franchise may recall, Abraham was booted from the show earlier this year by producer Morgan J.
Freeman, who claimed the reality star treated his staff horribly. Meanwhile, Abraham claimed it was she who was mistreated and has since filed a lawsuit against the network, suggesting that they owe her millions for wrongfully terminating her from her role on the show.
To see more of Jenelle Evans and the last of David Eason, don't miss the new season of "Teen Mom 2" when it premieres on MTV later this year. MTV has not yet set a premiere date for the upcoming installment.
