Award winning artist Ed Sheeran sparks off marriage speculations

Ed Sheeran set off rumors of being married to his long-term childhood friend Cherry Seaborn after being spotted wearing a ring on stage during his performance on the War Child gig series on Monday. Sheeran fueled the rumors by wearing the same ring to the 2018 BRIT Awards. Cherry was also spotted sitting beside Sheeran in spite arriving separately to the event.

High school Sweethearts

The 26-year-old singer announced his engagement to Cherry Seaborn early this year. But the Shape of you hitmaker claimed the ring was only a commitment ring leading to marriage.

The two lovebirds met while in school at Thomas Mills High but later separated due to the long distance. Cherry left to study at Duke University in North Carolina, and after graduating she went to work in Wall Street, New York, but later transferred to London offices to be closer to her other half. The two have had a happy relationship since.

Inspiration to hit song 'perfect'

In a 2017 interview with Radio.com Sheeran told Cherry was the inspiration behind the hit song Perfect. The pop star shared he wrote the song after spending a night with her at singer James Blunt’s home in Ibiza. According to Ed, they had a wild night of drinking, dancing and swimming and the next morning he woke up thinking that would be a beautiful story, so he put it in a song.

This goes to show the artist's deep appreciation for his fiance.

The Grammy Award winner revealed in a short video that Taylor Swift played a big part in starting off his relationship with Cherry. Ed told Clash magazine he never imagined having a good career and a happy relationship could be possible. He expressed his joy and fulfillment saying this is the first time he has ever being truly in love.

His deep love for his other half and his excellent career goes to show that indeed we can have it all.

Ed considers himself to be a testimony of living life to the fullest. The two are currently living together, and they often invite their friends over for dinner, which according to Sheeran is something he has never done with anyone else.

In an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1, Ed said he would love to start a family with Cherry.

He also revealed he intends to quit his music career when he turns 30 and turn his focus to becoming a better father and husband for his family. Ellen DeGeneres, from The Ellen Show, who is a close friend to the couple twitted that she was looking forward to their wedding.
