Soaps She Knows spoilers indicate that a big change is coming to "The Young and the Restless." Victor is going to hire someone at Newman who outranks Victoria. Executive writer Mal Young has promised surprises to the plot and this would be pretty shocking. Vicki believes she is heir apparent and is ruling with an iron thumb. Should her father place another employee over her, this would be a crushing blow. Unless someone new shows up in Genoa City, there are three men who come to mind as possible candidates.

Graham is returning to town [VIDEO] and he has experience from working with Dina, plus he never got one Victor's bad side. J.T. is already home and has proven his loyalty to the Newman family.

The third and most likely candidate would be Adam.

Mal Young continues to surprise 'Y&R' viewers

Mal Young's work first began airing in late October and immediately he began taking the storylines in a different direction. He put an end to "Villy" and now has "Philly" seemingly on solid ground. Jack and Nikki broke up and on New Year's Eve, Victor and his estranged wife renewed their wedding vows. J.T. is back in town and has admitted problems in his marriage to Mac. It seems logical that he and Victoria would find their way back to each other.

It's also possible that J.T.'s former father in law [VIDEO]would reward him for keeping Nikki out of prison. Victor may even be setting up Vicky and her ex-husband for a reunion in order to keep his daughter away from "Billy Boy Abbott." The Newman patriarch is all about family so having his once and possibly future son-in-law at the helm would be right up his alley.

He would know, however, that this would be devastating to his daughter, who believes she is doing a great job.

Graham and Adam are possibilities

Graham is a longshot and has no connection to the Newman family, but he is no longer on Dina's payroll. He will most certainly be in need of a job and may expect Victor to reward him for having Nikki and Jack followed and photographed. Unless Mal Young has an unexpected individual waiting in the wings, the most likely person to take the helm at Newman and outrank Victoria would be her half-sibling.

Spoilers from Celeb Dirty Laundry and Soaps She Knows have been hinting for months that Victor's youngest son would be coming back from the dead. If indeed Adam returns to Genoa City, he would be just the one to end up a thorn in Victoria's side.
