Symbiote costume leaked
Tom Hardy's costume in the "Venom" live-action movie is based on a military-style uniform and Marvel fans pointed out that the outfit is similar to Flash Thompson's Agent Venom.
In the Marvel comics, Flash bonded with the Venom symbiote for a top-secret military operation and he is given a serum in case the alien costume overwhelms him. Agent Venom's appearance is similar to Spider-Man's black suit but bulky and tactical. He has the same powers as the previous user such as enhanced strength, agility, webbing, and shape-shifting.
Flash can transform into a hulking monster whenever he is angry or being overwhelmed by the symbiote giving him more power at the expense of losing control.
Omega Underground reported that the plot of the movie will be based on the "Lethal Protector" arc wherein Eddie Brock moves to San Francisco and start's his career as a vigilante. Despite offering protection to the city, Eddie uses brutal tactics to fight crime and he has no qualms about killing criminals.
The spin-off movie also changed the origin of Eddie's powers as he received his abilities from a pandemic virus instead of an alien organism in order cure his growing illness.
Hardy's dedication to the project
YouTube username Tom_Hardy_Italia posted a video of Hardy's workout as prepares for his role in the "Venom" spin-off movie. His trainers, Nathan Jones and Mark Mene, described him as "humble" and "down to earth," and his dedication to the role is reflecting in his workout sessions.
"What the world is going to see is one of the darkest, most powerful supervillains that Marvel has created, "Mene said." "It's going to be carnage."
Mene also described Hardy's character is a guy who can turn into an eight feet tall monster, making him intimidating up-close. Venom creator Todd McFarlane show's his support on "The Revenant" actor's role in the movie and he believes that he will do a great job in bringing the symbiote character to life.
