The popular 'USA' television show "Psych" enjoined an 8-year run and incurred legions of fans who are known as "Psychos." Dule Hill, Maggie Lawson, and James Roday are reprising their roles as Gus, Shawn, and Juliet. In an interview with Steve Harvey on Thursday James Roday said that loyal fans have been begging for some type of reunion, and their persistence has paid off. He said with all the crazy things going on in the world that he and Dule were glad to come together to give people something to laugh about. Hill's real-life fiancee Jazmyn Simone will also portray his love interest in the movie.
Changes since Psych went off the air
Much has changed with the cast since "Psych" went off the air. Timothy Omundson, who played James Lassiter, AKA Lassie, is recuperating from a stroke and his role in the movie will be limited. Roday and Maggie Lawson, who portrayed Juliet, got engaged in the series finale. The couple also dated off-screen during the eight-year run of the show, but have since broken up and she is married to someone else.
By the end of the eight-year run, Shawn, Juliet, and Gus had left Santa Barbara and are now living in San Francisco were Juliet went for a new job. This is where "Psych the movie" will pick up and all of the favorite characters from the TV series will be on hand.
Psychos will be elated to see Henry, Karen, and Woodie along with Lassie, Gus, Shawn, and Juliet. No details relating to the plot have been made public, but with this cast being reunited, it has got to be great.

One thing that is known is that Gus finally gets the girl in "Psych the movie." During most of the 8 year run of the television series, Shawn was dating Juliet, while his friend met several women but nothing worked out.
Fans do know that the made for TV production will be holiday themed, and that is why it has been released in December just before Christmas. Having his real-life fiancee playing his love interest is a wonderful bonus.
