Katy Perry showed off her new hairstyle on Tuesday, December 5 through her social media account. The songstress decided to temporarily change the hairstyle from her bright blonde Pixie Cut to her new look, Refinery29 reported.

The “Swish Swish” singer revealed her shoulder-length blonde bob in a mirror selfie which she shared on her social media feed. The new style featured longer strands combed on one side and pulled back slightly. A report by Glamour Magazine revealed a lot of the facts revealed below.

Perry had been wearing her previous hairdo for eight months and carried this along with her music videos, live performances, and television events.

This pixie cut was shown in many scenes for the “Swish Swish” music video and also during the time when she graced the stage at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards.

The singer is currently doing her “Witness” world tour. She has been to several areas in the United States and Canada and is headed to more cities as part of her tour’s Asian leg.

Criticized on Taylor Swift’s music video

The hairstyle from where the songstress was known was a black-colored one. She has sported this original hairdo during her stint at Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show as well.

However, since she decided to wear the pixie cut, many other singers have made fun of this style and Taylor Swift was one of them. In her music video for “Look What You Made Me Do,” Swift threw some shade at the songstress by combing her blonde hair back and revealing bangs that resembled Perry’s.

It was during the scene where Swift was shown making fun of her rival who has not yet even won a single Grammy award. She was shown driving a luxury car brand similar to that of Perry’s in one of her previous music videos. Both the singers are still in a feud over some unsettled issues in the past, including a rift that involved Katy's concert venue.

Leg treatment

Aside from this temporary blonde bob style, Katy Perry also shared her visit to a beauty salon earlier this week. This time, she availed of this cupping treatment done on her legs.

It was the same treatment offered to other prominent celebrities such as Justin Bieber, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jennifer Aniston. This leg massage therapy, which has roots from ancient Chinese tradition, makes use of suction cups to deliberately bring swelling to the skin and on the body.

This particular treatment has been known to combat stress and pain all over the body. It also improves blood circulation and relaxes the nerves. The technique will usually leave behind huge red spots that will stay for around 10 days.
