Would you be shocked if I told you that Kate Gosselin is in the middle of controversy? Probably not, and you’d be correct to think that because Gosselin has now sparked some debate online for apparently favoring her daughters according to her Instagram page. This would not be the first time that Gosselin has gotten into trouble online as earlier this year she got some fans angry for not inviting her son Collin home from the behavioural unit for his birthday. Why is Kate Gosselin being accused of favortism?
If you ask me the reason for this accusation is kind of silly but that would be the internet for you. What happened was Gosselin posted a throwback Instagram picture of her daughter Alexis and fans went after Gosselin in the comment section about favoring her daughters over her sons. For example, some commenters brought up the fact that in the past in an interview for her show Gosselin said that “boys are just dirty.” Which fuelled the speculation that the reality television mother prefers her daughters over her sons. What is this reality television mother up to now?
This reality television mother as you can tell from her show is always super busy. For example, Gosselin has now revealed that she is getting Collin help with his special needs in an interview with Extra. She told Extra the following about her son getting treatment for his anger issues, “I am confident he is in the best hands and receiving the best of what’s being offered for his situation." In the interview, Gosselin also mentioned how Colin is no longer living at home with her because he needs to have his behavioural and anger problems under control.
Gosselin who is the mother of eight also opened up on how she really struggles sometimes with the fact that she couldn’t help Collin with his problems by herself. She said to the show that "It’s kind of humbling when, as a mom, you have to admit that, 'I am not enough for what you need.” None the less, we can only hope nothing but the best for Gosselin and her eight children.
However, it is worth mentioning that Gosselin is not the only mother of a large family that has come under fire online. For example, Michelle Duggar who is the mother of the Duggar family has just been slammed for having too many children as she has nineteen kids.
