Marvel Studios streamed the first official trailer for "Avengers: Infinity War" online as Earth's Mightiest Heroes prepare for the arrival of the Mad Titan, Thanos. Heroes such as Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, and more go to war against his army across the globe for the Infinity Stones.
The trailer also teased the possible location of the Soul Stone in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the heroes must defend it at all cost to prevent Thanos from conquering the universe.
Thanos arrives on earth
The trailer starts with Nick Fury's monologue about how the "Avengers Initiative" gathered a group of remarkable people and how they must work together to fight the battles that no individual can ever win alone.
Bruce Banner crash lands on the Sanctum Sanctorum as one of Thanos's ships arrives in New York. Peter Parker was the first one to notice as Iron Man joins Bruce, Doctor Strange, and Wong to fight the invaders in the city.
Loki hands over the Tesseract to Thanos as the villain uses it to teleport himself to earth. Proxima Midnight subdues Vision as she tries to forcibly extract the Mind Stone from his forehead. He was saved by Captain America's underground group.
Black Panther prepares Wakanda's army for war against legions of aliens as Cap's group; Hulk, War Machine, and a revived Winter Soldier, lead the frontlines.
Spider-Man wears his Iron Spider suit during the invasion of New York, but he is easily overpowered by the Mad Titan.
Tony Stark is helpless against the assault as Thanos relishes the destruction and chaos he has caused on the planet. The trailer ends with Thor waking up inside the Milano and he meets the Guardians of the Galaxy.
The Soul Stone is in Wakanda?
Marvel comic book fans speculate that the location of the final Infinity Stone will be found in Wakanda as it is believed that stone is the life source of the country's advanced technology, aside from Vibranium.
Screenrant pointed out that Thanos will not send a massive alien army to the isolated nation without a good reason.
The Soul Stone was rumored to make an appearance in "Thor: Ragnarok," as several fan theories hinted that the stone is located in Hela, Heimdall, or Odin. The stone has the ability to control a person's soul and change his or her morality.
The sequel is the culmination of all of the major events in the MCU and the movie will present new opportunities for storylines and concepts in future projects.
