The latest updates and spoilers for "Avengers: Infinity War" reveal leaked HD images of the movie's first trailer courtesy of Imgur username "TheAscendedAncient." While the photos were taken down by Disney, comic book fans were able to see Captain America's underground group, Black Order member Proxima Midnight, and the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige also teased character evolutions of the Marvel heroes in the third and fourth "Avengers" films.
First trailer leaked online
The leaked HD photos featured the bearded Steve Rogers leading the underground Avengers consisting of Scarlet Witch, Falcon, and a blonde Black Widow.
The team is fighting one of Thanos's children, Proxima Midnight as they try to rescue Vision inside a cage. Guardians of the Galaxy members Star-Lord, Drax the Destroyer, and Gamora are also seen in the photos as they get ready to fight something that is heading towards them.
It seems that Thanos and his Black Order are making a preemptive strike against Earth's Mightiest Heroes as they are systematically targetting the bearers of the Infinity Stones. Proxima captured Vision for the Mind Stone, while Ebony Maw was able to overpower Doctor Stephen Strange for the Time Stone.
Captain America and Iron Man must put aside their differences and reunite the Avengers in order to stop Thanos from collecting all of the Infinity Stones and remake the universe in his twisted image.
Studio co-president Louis D'Esposito announced that the "Infinity War" trailer will be released soon and he stated that he loved the finished product.
Character Evolutions
Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige talked several character changes in "Infinity War" and the fourth "Avengers" film as he told Collider that the studio wants to evolve the heroes not just the physical appearance, but also having an emotional growth and a new perspective on things.
"There'll be lots of evolutions for lots of characters over the course of the next two Avengers films," Feige said.
Feige pointed out Thor's missing eye and hammer as an example of those changes and it will be fun to see how the characters will evolve in the storyline, and gain an interesting twist in their personality and situation.
Steve Rogers abandoned the name "Captain America" after the events of "Civil War" as a way separating the man himself from the perceived symbol. Clint Barton will not use the "Hawkeye" moniker in "Avengers 4" and he will go by name of "Ronin."
"Avengers: Infinity War" will premiere on May 4, 2018.
