Terry Crews assaulted, perpetrator unnamed
Initially, Terry Crews spoke about the sexual assault incident on October 10th via Twitter. He stated that while attending a Hollywood event with his wife, a high-level Hollywood executive approached him. The executive gave no warning when he suddenly groped Crews' privates in front of his wife.
Crews’ wife spoke with TMZ, saying, “there’s a reason why rich, powerful men get away with it”.
In a series of tweets, Crews detailed how he was sexually assaulted, how he felt, and why he responded the way he did. He tweeted that he knew how the situation would appear if he had immediately lashed out at the man who wrongfully groped him. Crews stated that he later received a call from the person who assaulted him. He says the person apologized but gave no reason for their actions.
The Crews tweeted that he felt compelled to come forward after accusations against Harvey Weinstein began to surface. The actor/comedian took to Twitter to say that the entire Harvey Weinstein scandal is "giving me PTSD".
He spoke up with the intent of deterring a predator and to offer encouragement to those who feel hopeless. In this series of tweets, Crews explained that Harvey Weinstein is not the only perpetrator and that Hollywood is not the only place where this inappropriate behavior occurs.

More recently, Crews filed a police report with the LAPD.
He retweeted Areva Martin, Esq., commending him for filing a police report about sexual assault, rather than just speaking out as a victim.

Terry Crews files police report in L.A.
Crews was spotted outside of the Los Angeles police station on November 8th.
He was approached by a TMZ photographer who asked him why he decided to file the report that day. Crews responded saying that, “Because you know, people have to be held accountable”. The cameraman proceeded to ask Crews if he was going to file a lawsuit. Crews replied, “Yeah, we’re gonna go all the way”.
When asked about an undisclosed amount related to the case, the actor stated that he needs to “talk to his attorney about all of that stuff”. As Crews stepped into his vehicle, TMZ asked him if he could tell who the perpetrator was. The actor directly told the cameraman that he would not be naming any names. TMZ asked Crews if Adam Venit was the perpetrator and received no response. Crews is a client of WME, William Morris Endeavor. At WME, one of the executives Adam Venit was placed on leave. Venit represents major talents including Adam Sandler, Sylvester Stallone, Gal Gadot, and Vince Vaughn.
