As noted in an article that went with the photo, the necklace seems out of place around the neck of someone working to fix machinery behind the scenes. So what is the importance that the necklace has to Rose and the film? Actress Kelly Marie Tran spoke about it in her EW interview.
Regarding the “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” spoilers, Tran may have revealed something in her quotes.
When speaking about the necklace, she stated that it “is definitely something that is significant to Rose’s backstory. Tran went on to say that, “It is an object that she kind of has throughout the film and it is representative of more than the object itself to her. So, yeah, that’s all I can say.
It has significance that is, to me, something that means more than just what the object itself is.”
