Peggy Sulahian insulted Meghan King Edmonds behind her back on Monday's episode of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" when she called her a "giraffe neck." On Tuesday she responded on Twitter to someone who thought everyone overreacted to Peggy's concern for her crying baby. She implied that Meghan was neglecting her infant daughter after she recorded a video of the ladies in Iceland laughing.

An 'overblown' incident?

A fan tweeted Meghan King Edmonds that she thought it appeared Peggy heard Aspen crying and wanted to see what was going on and that's when she heard the others laughing.

The fan didn't think Peggy was attacking Meghan or her judgments as a parent, calling the whole thing "overblown."

Meghan wasn't so sure about that. She answered the fan, writing, "Then why talk about '"hat giraffe neck’s baby"? Sounds like an opening to a jab if I ever heard one".

In other words, Meghan King Edmonds definitely believes there was something personal behind Peggy Sulahian's attack. She felt judged as a mother and that Peggy referring to her as a "giraffe neck" wasn't such a nice thing to say. If Sulahian wanted any support from anyone, perhaps calling Edmonds a name wasn't in her best interest.

Meghan knew Aspen was crying, but explained that she's letting her cry for a certain amount of time so she can learn to soothe herself to sleep. It's a controversial technique some parents opt for when they don't feel it's conducive to pick up their baby every time they cry in their crib. Peggy didn't agree with Meghan's excuse for not responding to her baby's cries.

The 'perfect mother' message

On Tuesday many defended Edmonds on her Instagram account when she posted a message about the "perfect parent." It read, "Show me a perfect mother and I'll show you a Leprechaun riding a unicorn, over a double rainbow, with a fairy holding a pot of gold at the end of it."

Controversial parenting choice

Meghan had many mothers defend her parenting choice to let baby Aspen cry and told her it's evident how happy and healthy her daughter is.

The 33-year-old was also complimented on her caring and loving ways with her daughter. A few people disagreed with allowing an infant to cry when they're in need of comfort from their mother.

Peggy Sulahian definitely hit a nerve not only with Meghan King Edmonds, but the rest of the cast when she slammed her for neglecting her child's cries. The "giraffe neck" insult was certainly uncalled for.
