Everybody knows that the costs of raising a child are increasing year by year. Many parents actually struggle with paying for the upbringing of a child as you have to pay for school tuition, clothes, presents and much more. Well, if you have to pay all that for one child, imagine paying that for nineteen children. Well, that’s what the parents of the Duggar children Jim Bob and Michelle have to pay. Now, one can expect that if you are raising nineteen children, you are going to need lots of money to not only accommodate the children but to also survive in general.
Well, In Touch Weekly just completed a report to find out how much money the Duggar family make per episode.
The Duggar Family’s Money status
The In Touch Weekly report took place earlier this month, and the people behind the report were able to find out how much money the Duggar family earns per episode. They reported that the family earns anywhere between $25,000 to $40,000 per episode. Now, an episode of “Counting On” takes roughly about four days to film, so that means overall the Duggar family is making about $6,250 to $10,000 per day. That's definitely enough to raise not just one child, but also another eighteen children.
To further elaborate on the large family’s financial situation, the website Celebrity Net Worth made an estimate on how much money the Duggar family has.
The website puts their financial status at around $3.5 million. Although that may seem like a whole lot of money, remember that it has to be split among the nineteen Duggar children and the parents as well.
How is 'Counting On' performing on television?
In case you didn’t know “Counting On” is the spinoff of “19 Kids and Counting” and it currently airs on the TLC network.
“Counting On” first debuted all the way back in 2015, and it just premiered its sixth season on September 11th, 2017. The spin-off came after “19 Kids and Counting” was cancelled because of Josh Duggar’s problems with the law. It is worth mentioning that “Counting On” only features 18 out of the 19 Duggar children, as Josh is not featured in the show, even though his name is obviously brought up in passing as he is still a member of the family.
The spin-off focuses on the lives of the older siblings in the Duggar family, as it follows what they are doing both professionally and romantically. The show is currently in its sixth season, and many fans of the show hope that it will be renewed for a brand new season for next year.
