A week after the wedding of "Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans and David Eason, she is already faced with different issues. One of the recent rumors involving her is her alleged pregnancy due to a SnapChat video that she posted revealing her rounded tummy.
This time, social media users are slamming the star once again due to an Instagram photo she shared. Recently, she posted a photo of her family while in a hot tub. This prompted negative reactions from her followers who mommy-shamed her.
Not a good mom?
At first look, one would notice that what Jenelle posted is a mere picture of her happy family.
It shows her husband David, her two sons, 8-year-old Jace and 3-year-old Kaiser and David's daughter, Maryssa. Her fans called her out for letting the 3-year-old son into the hot tub which could be dangerous for him.
But the "Teen Mom 2" star defended herself saying that she dropped the temperature of the tub before letting the children in. However, some fans feel that this isn't enough to ensure the safety of the kids.
One person commented asking, “Shouldn’t a three-year-old not be in a hot tub?” Another follower wrote that she should get the kids out of the tub. Meanwhile, other fans defended the star who noticed that the kids were smiling, which means that the water isn't so hot at all.
The risk of kids in a hot tub
Radar Online pointed out that the Red Cross recommends that children under the age of five should not be allowed in a hot tub as they cannot cope with the heat. This may cause dehydration and other harmful effects to the child. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) also support that, due to the possible risk of dehydration or overheating.
Aside from that, there is also a risk of drowning and the entanglement of hair in the suction fitting of the hot tub. Getting caught by the strong suction of a drain may also lead to drowning. No wonder that followers of Jenelle were horrified when they saw the photo of her kids in the hot tub.
Parenting issues
This is not the first time that the star was involved in a parenting issue.
She was also called out when she took her son Kaiser on a boat without a life jacket.
Jenelle is not on good terms with her mother Barbara Evans who said to Radar Online that she had been abusing her kids. According to her, David beats Kaiser and the couple would lock the kids outside in the heat for long hours.
Because of this, her mother wants custody of the children. She thinks that Jenelle is not capable of raising the kids. She said that everything that the "Teen Mom 2" star is saying is all lies and that she never tells the truth.
