After the long wait, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” new trailer is now revealed. Once again, Lucasfilm didn’t upset the “Star Wars” fans with a very intense and epic video teaser hinting what is going to happen next.
“Episode 8” will pick up the events that happened in JJ Abrams’ “The Force Awakens.” The newly released trailer focuses mainly on the three main characters, Rey (Daisy Ridley), Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), and, of course, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).
Rey’s incredible Force powers
From the looks of it, Luke Skywalker has a major role to play in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” after his absence in the majority of “The Force Awakens.”
Rey is now undergoing her training under the master Jedi, and from the looks of it, she might be the chosen one.
In fact, she looks more powerful than he was in “A New Hope.” She seems to have the strength similar to Anakin Skywalker in “The Phantom Menace.”
Unlike Luke, who had a hard time pulling his X-wing out of the bog and had the help of Master Yoda, Rey can easily crack the rocks and make the stones levitate up in the air.
A battle between mother and son
Fans are also waiting for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” to see what will happen to Leia Organa after the character’s star Carrie Fisher unexpectedly died in December 2016.
Will “Episode 8” address her demise and end her storyline? The trailer didn’t reveal much of her role, but according to Elite Daily, she is playing a very significant part. As she is seen inside the fleet, she is evidently handling the Resistance’s battle against the First Order.
However, it looks like she is going to face her own son, Kylo Ren. Will Ben Solo kill his own mother? The two seem to look at each other in the eye from their fleets. As Leia appears to understand his child’s plan, she keeps still and stares at him as if daring him to do it.
“Kill it if you have to, that’s the only way to become what you were meant to be,” a voice can be heard saying in the background while he is flying his ship.
The voice must be from Kylo talking to himself. Without a doubt, he presses the button to attack his mother.
A puzzling scene of Rey and Kylo
Interestingly, Luke Skywalker said, “This is not going to go the way you think.” Is he pertaining to “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” story?
While Supreme Leader Snoke can be heard saying, “fulfill your destiny” while torturing Rey, the scene is then cut to a very puzzling sequence. She is talking to someone saying that she needs someone to show her her place in all that has been happening. Kylo Ren then appears offering his hand.
