Having a dedicated soldier is a good asset to every military operation. Not only do they give 100 percent of their abilities to the cause, but also lifts up everybody’s morale with their loyalty. However, too much of anything is a cause for concern. In the upcoming “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” is Poe Dameron’s dedication to the resistance a threat to everybody?
Poe’s commitment to the Resistance
Poe Dameron is one of the most dedicated soldiers of the Resistance. The character--who is played by Oscar Isaac--first showed this commitment in “Force Awakens.” Despite all the torture and hardship under Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), Dameron remained quiet; showing us all how far he can go for his cause. The man has proven himself as a great asset to the Resistance and General Organa’s army.
However, taking things too seriously is always bad. In the latest “Star Wars” update, this commitment might just be a cause of concern in “Episode 8.”
The Japanese “Star Wars” website recently updated their character listings for the sequel movie.
The new character bios showed the key characters in “The Last Jedi” and their objectives. If you can read Dameron’s description, you’ll see why everybody’s worried about him in in the upcoming sci-fi epic.
According to the translated description, Poe will become a “shining leader” amidst all the chaos. As the war between the Resistance and The First Order escalates, he leads his own flying troops into battle. Despite his heroic efforts and dedication to the Resistance, both parties are starting to fear his growing commitment to his cause.
A shining leader
“Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s” latest trailer gave us a sneak peek on just how passionate Poe has become in the war effort. Not only that, but the Pilot is also revealed to spend a lot of time with General Organa (Carrie Fisher) in the upcoming film.
This is possibly because of Poe’s growing impulses when it comes to the First Order. Princess Leia might just help him cool down a bit and lessen his tendency to be reckless. If this speculation proves true, then it will not be the first time that the General has grounded the X-Wing pilot. The “Star Wars” comics already featured Poe with Princess Leia with the latter teaching him to stop being reckless.
His hatred might just cloud his judgment, sending the pilot into danger together with his team in pursuit of peace.
So far, we still don’t have any exact information about Poe’s arc in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” Fans of the film will just have to wait for the movie to be released to know more.
