Fans of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were elated when the ex-lovers had a reunion at her residence in Studio City on Sunday. Earlier reports said the two singers were joined by their mutual friends from church for the get-together, which lasted until at least midnight.

TMZ was able to capture Justin Bieber's white monster truck parked outside his former girlfriend's house. It was said that the "Despacito" singer arrived 10 minutes earlier than Selena Gomez. The "Fetish" artist was also photographed when she walked inside her pad.

Inside Justin's reunion with Selena after split

It was also reported that The Weeknd was informed about the reunion and has no problem with Selena Gomez hanging out with Justin Bieber. The reunion of the former lovers, who had an on-off relationship from 2011 to 2014, earned mixed reactions from fans.

Some of them are hoping that the meeting would be the start of something new for the ex-couple, while others questioned the timing of Selena Gomez' decision to hang out with Justin Bieber.

A source, however, clarified that there was nothing romantic about the meeting.

"They are not dating, it's nothing romantic," a source told ET. "Justin and Selena are just friends right now."

It added that the "Love Yourself" crooner wanted to be friends with his co-singer now that they are reconnected after the breakup. The source noted how Selena Gomez encouraged Justin Bieber to get involved in the church to help him turn his life around.

Of rebuilding old friendships and broken relationships

Fortunately, her effort has paid off as the male artist is now committed to serve the church. The 23-year-old Pop Singer has also expressed his desire to protect his calling in order to become a sustainable person in the future. This realization has made him decide to cut his "Purpose" world tour short for him to focus on his faith and personal growth.

"He's really committed to it and has formed a strong network. So, they have a lot of mutual friends now from that," the source explained. "Now she's more mature and confident -- and so is he -- and they can hangout without any dram."

Selena Gomez, on the other hand, is also making an effort to rebuild her relationships with those who were once important to her. After she had undergone a kidney transplant just a couple of months ago, the "Same Old Love" artist has realized the value of life; hence, she is starting to make amends with Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato.
