Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber stunned their fans after it was reported that the former lovers reunited to hang out with some of their friends on Sunday. According to a TMZ report, the "Love Yourself" artist went to his ex-girlfriend's house for the get-together. His monster truck was even spotted parked outside the female singer's pad in Studio City.
Reports further claimed that Justin Bieber arrived 10 minutes earlier than Selena Gomez, who was photographed wearing a pair of grey sweatpants and white sneakers. Their get-together with friends reportedly lasted until at least midnight.
Jelena reunited to hang out with friends
The Weekend, who was on tour when the gathering took place, has no problem with Selena Gomez hanging out with Justin Bieber. Although some are hoping that the reunion would give a glimmer of hope for Jelena shippers, a source clarified that there was nothing romantic about the meeting.
A separate source told Hollywood Life that the "Fetish" singer is trying to mend her broken relationships with people who were once important to her. It further claimed that the former Disney star had this realization after she had undergone a kidney transplant a couple of months ago.
“Selena realized life is fragile after her medical scare and that she shouldn’t take anything for granted," the source explained.
"It improved her relationship with The Weeknd, and it also made her realize she should patch up relationships with those that have been important to her in the past."
This realization has made her decide to reconnect with Justin Bieber after their on and off relationship that eventually ended with a breakup. Selena Gomez reportedly wanted to form a bond with her former boyfriend than nothing at all.
Selena cuddles up with Demi amid feud rumors
A day after meeting her ex, the "Same Old Love" artist also had a reunion with her childhood friend, Demi Lovato, at the InStyle Awards. The two even cuddled up for a few photos amid speculations questioning their friendship. Prior to that, Selena Gomez congratulated her longtime friend for the release of her documentary last week.
"This was beautiful," she commented. "I'm so happy for you. You always continue to be bold and real. I wish more people were like you. Love you."
Similarly, Demi Lovato has also praised the singer when she dropped her new music a few months ago. "Loving your new song "Fetish." We've come a long way since our Barney days," she said.
