"Game of Thrones" is currently beginning production and the process of casting is happening for new characters. As it is the final season of the big show, the director, producer, writers, and showrunners are closely working to make it one of the biggest hits of all the time. Two new characters are coming to Westeros, according to the Watchers on the Wall, including a young "Northern girl" and a boy between the ages of 8-10.The boy would be from a poor background. Hence, people are confused about who could these characters be in the final season of "Game of Thrones."

Few assumptions regarding the characters

The characters described in the book and who appeared in "Game of Thrones" were not always the same.

The described character of a girl could be assumed to Joelle, the younger sister of Lyanna, as mentioned in the book, or she could be a female member of House Karstark. The boy character could be Ollie who killed both Jon Snow and the Fake Aegon Targaryen. There are different assumptions based on the book, but nobody is certain of the details.

‘Game of Thrones’ with longer episodes

Showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff have confirmed that there will only be six episodes in the final seasons. But the episodes would be longer by about 80 minutes or more. Moreover, there is a specific plan regarding the number of "Game of Thrones" seasons, according to the programming president of HBO during a press tour.

He further added that "If I could get them to do more I would take ten more seasons. But we take their lead on what they [need] to make the best version of their show." Hence Season 8 will be the final season that will always be remembered by the Throne lovers.

One of the biggest hits of all-time

In addition, season 8 would be the most expensive season of "Game of Thrones," and the budget is $15 million per episode.

The final season would be much different, as revealed by the Kit Harington on "The One show." He said "I cried at the end! It wasn't anything, in particular, that happens." He further added that "You have to remember, I've done eight years of it. I think, no-one really cares about [Game of Thrones] more than us."

This time, "Game of Thrones" is taking secrecy more seriously and more efforts are being made to keep the secrets of season 8 under wraps in order to avoid leaks. On the other hand, the audience would love to know the new cast and make assumptions about the roles they would play in the final season.
