Cara Delevingne is the new face of Dior’s anti-aging line, The Fashion Spot reported. This 25-year-old model and actress is currently the star of the brand’s new line targeted toward younger women.
The new anti-aging line is called “Capture Youth” which enlisted Delevingne as the face of the campaign. Dior has recently announced its partnership with the actress through posting a photo on its official Instagram account featuring her in a chocolate brown pixie haircut.
“The house of Dior is delighted to announce that @caradelevingne, revolutionary top model, committed woman and rising actress is now the face of the skincare line ‘Capture,’” the brand captioned the image. The supermodel was also shown wearing a see-through sleeveless top revealing her checkered undergarment and a choker around her neck.
Delevingne is signed under Storm Model Management and won “Model of the Year” during the 2012 and 2014 British Fashion Awards. She has graced the runway shows of brands such as Burberry, Chanel, Jason Wu, and Mulberry.
She has also appeared in movies such as her minor role in “Anna Karenina.” One of her most recent roles was portraying a villain in the comic book movie “Suicide Squad” in 2016.
New face of Dior
Cara Delevingne rose to fame because of her distinct look. She sports a pair of bushy eyebrows and has changed her hair color several times in the past. Now that she is the new face of “Capture Youth,” the renowned fashion brand is expecting her to encourage more consumers to try out their products.
Capture Youth is a new anti-aging line created for younger women in their 30s who want to combat aging through an effective routine. The products under this brand will help them maintain their complexions at such an early age.
The launch date of the new line has not yet been revealed. However, Dior is asking the fans to keep on following their social media accounts to stay updated about their product line-up.
Chanel model
Cara Delevingne has done several campaigns with competitor brand Chanel in the past. Now, she is joining the ranks of Charlize Theron, Natalie Portman, and Jennifer Lawrence as the new brand image of Dior.
Fans also reacted on the recent tie-up between the model and the brand. A netizen named Lola701 wrote on The Fashion Spot’s forum, “This is so weird. She has been the face of Chanel for so long! It is almost quite passé to use her as a ‘fresh’ or ‘youth’ oriented face for any brand.”
Other fans exclaimed that “suits the boring Dior perfectly.” Another celebrity from her circle, Bella Hadid, is also a beauty ambassador for Dior. Unlike Delevingne’s campaign, hers leans more toward mascaras.
