The latest updates and spoilers for "Deadpool 2" reveal Wade Wilson's X-Force uniform in one of Ryan Reynold's wrap photos in the film's production set. The "Hitman's Bodyguard" star announced on Instagram that they have just finished shooting the sequel alongside "X-Men: Dark Phoenix," and they will begin the editing and post-production process.
"Deadpool 2" co-star Josh Brolin announced that the "X-Force" spin-off movie will begin production next year and he talks about his extended plans for the "X-Men" film franchise.
New costume teased?
According to Marvel Movie News host Coy Jandreau, one of Reynold's wrap shoot photos accidentally revealed two grey Deadpool costumes in the film's wardrobe room. Jandreau pointed out that either the suits are dirty or it is an indication that Wade Wilson will don his X-Force costume in the movie.
While 20th Century Fox has not made any comments about the rumored new costume, the events of "Deadpool 2" will pave the way for the formation of mutant black-ops team, X-Force. The sequel will feature Wade Wilson teaming up with the mutant time-traveler Cable in order to prevent an apocalyptic future.
"Deadpool 2" will also introduce the live-action versions of Domino, Black Tom Cassidy, and the Mutant Response Division.
X-Force production starts next year
Fox will start the production of the "X-Force" movie on 2018 as Josh Brolin talked about Cable's role in Wade Wilson's life and the studio's plans for the character in the "X-Men" franchise.
"I think [X-Force films] sometime next year or soon thereafter. It depends. It all depends. It depends on how Deadpool 2 does, I don't think that's a make or break deal kind of deal," Brolin told Collider. "Drew Goddard is already involved in it. He's into it now. I know he and Ryan were meeting. I've met him once, and this is all kind of going ahead."
The "Men in Black 3" star also revealed that his character will appear in the "Deadpool" and "X-Force" sequels and hopes that the comic book fans will appreciate his performance in the movie franchise.
Brolin will also reprise his role as Thanos in "Avengers: Infinity War" and the "Avengers 4."
Director Drew Goddard announced that Cable and Deadpool will lead the mutant black-ops team, and they will recruit the deadliest mutants on the planet. Fans want to see characters like Psylocke, Arcangel, Elixir, Warpath, Wolfsbane, and X-23 in the movie.
The sequel will premiere on June 1, 2018.
