The issue over sexual harassment and assault has become a major topic in the news with the Harvey Weinstein story dominating the headlines. For former Fox News host Bill O'Reilly, he has a new scapegoat for his own issues on the subject.
O'Reilly and "God"
For two decades, the Fox News Channel has been on top of the world of cable news, shifting its focus to more conservative-leaning politics in opposition to networks like CNN and MSNBC.
One of the most popular names on the network since its inception has been Bill O'Reilly, the former host of "The O'Reilly Factor." The show was one of the the top rated programs on the channel for some time until O'Reilly was fired by the network over the summer after his previously private sexual harassment allegations were made public. In recent months, O'Reilly has remained mostly quiet until this week when the New York Times broke yet another story on the subject, revealing that the former host reached a $32 million settled over the harassment claims prior to signing his most recent contract with Fox News.
As expected, O'Reilly hit back, dismissing the allegations in an attempt to stay relevant and keep his name as clean as possible. As reported by CNN on October 23, O'Reilly addressed the issue even further during his latest podcast.
On the Monday edition of the "No Spin News" podcast, Bill O'Reilly went into further detail about the sexual harassment allegations, the New York Times story, and recent comments made by fellow former host Megyn Kelly. While O'Reilly made several remarks, it was his admission of anger towards "God" that caught many off guard. "Am I mad at God? Yeah, I'm mad at him," O'Reilly admitted, before stating, "I wish I had more protection. I wish this stuff didn't happen." "I can't explain it to you.
Yeah, I'm mad at him," he continued in his rant against "God."
Ex-Fox News hosts
On Megyn Kelly's morning show this week, she revealed that she complained to Fox News about O'Reilly's behavior in the past, but nothing was ever done about it. In response, the former host addressed the issue during an interview with Glenn Beck. "I don’t know why Megyn Kelly is doing what she’s doing," he said, describing her remarks as "incomprehensible."

While it's unknown what the future will hold for Bill O'Reilly, the light at the end of the tunnel in the hope of a mainstream future appears to be dim. He's currently running his own website and podcast, while publishing his popular book series, with the most recent, "Killing England," recently released and available to the public.
