The latest updates and spoilers for "Avengers: Infinity War" reveal that Teenage Groot will have an interesting role in the film. Movie stunt actor Terry Notary announced that he will perform the motion capture animation of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" character, and he will have a new mentor in the story.

Cast member Robert Downy Jr. posted a new photo for "Avengers 4" hinting the possible surviving characters after the events of the third film. Marvel Studios teased that several A-list characters might not come back after the phase 3.

Groot's new role model

Terry Notary told Yahoo Movies! that Teenage Groot will have a new role model during the events of "Infinity War." The Avengers will team-up with the Guardians of the Galaxy to fight the threat of Thanos and his Black Order for the Infinity Stones.

"I am playing Teenage Groot, Notary said. "I can't say too much about him, but he's coming of age, so you'll see the teenager find a mentor to look up to and to model himself after. The character's great, and the films are going to be great."

Groot is always seen paired up with Rocket Raccoon in the Marvel comics and films, but the third movie will see Groot have chemistry with other characters. Nerdist theorized that Thor, Hulk, and Spider-Man are his possible role models.

Thor will meet the Guardian's first after his ship was attacked by Thanos after the events of "Ragnarok."

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige teased a possible fight between Hulk and Groot in the MCU, and comic book fans will get their wish in the movie. Spider-Man will likely bond with Groot since they are both the youngest members of the cast.

Thanos and his forces will invade earth for Time and Mind Stones. Iron Man and Captain America must put aside their difference, and bring the band back together to save the universe.

Surviving characters revealed?

Robert Downye Jr. posted a new Instagram photo for the fourth "Avengers" film as the image revealed the production chairs for Captain America, Ant-Man, Iron Man, and Black Widow.

Comic book fans are particularly worried about Cap and Tony Stark's status in the MCU, given that Chris Evans and RDJ's contracts with studio are almost over. There is also a funeral scene in the movie hinting the death of a beloved character.

Feige told Fandango that they might introduce a female version of Thor in phase 4, thus teasing the original God of Thunder's possible death. The fourth movie also introduces Clint Barton's new alias, Ronin.
