There are only three episodes left before the third season of the fan-favorite animated series "Rick and Morty." Check out the spoilers for Episode 8 and the last two episodes.

Season 3 Episode 8 spoilers

The eight-episode will start off with a new adventure for the grandfather and grandson duo. The two begin running away from a skeleton through upside down stairways that went on and on. If the scene looks familiar, the episode got its inspiration from M.C. Escher's "Relativity" painting.

Based on the trailer, the temple-like location also features several statues of turtles everywhere.

It was later revealed that Rick and Morty stole a Truth Tortoise, a jewel-encrusted gold creature which enables someone to "remember everything."

Rick tried warning Morty but it's already too late, he looked into its eyes. This mistake had some adverse effects on Morty, and he has some gruesome eyebags to prove it.

Will there be an 'Interdimensional Cable' episode this season?

The teaser ended with Rick revealing the place where he stores all of the experiences that Morty did not want to remember. This is an alternative to the Interdimensional Cable, Rick says.

In the past two seasons, the show had been religiously featuring their running joke about one of Rick's cool inventions. Dan Harmon said they wouldn't have any episodes featuring the iconic cable box this time.

Despite the bad news, he confessed that they were working on an "anthological" episode, but it did not happen due to time constraint.

"But yeah, we were supposed to do 14 [episodes] this season. And part of our slowness meant we did fewer episodes than we were supposed to do." Dan Harmon told Time.

More Jerry and Beth next week

"Rick and Morty" has a surprise for the fans who love Jerry and Beth Smith, but they will have separate storylines again.

Morty's divorced parents last appeared in "The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy" where Jerry spent time battling Risotto Groupon with Rick. Meanwhile, Beth put her "mom" mode to good use after learning that Summer struggled with her love life.

Both "Rick and Morty" characters had a hard time dealing with these situations, but they learned more about their loved ones and how they can improve their relationships with them.

The synopsis from Zap2it that Jerry Smith tries to date again and he will succeed in meeting a possible new companion. Beth will recall her childhood again which might also give the viewers an idea about her life with Rick.

Rick vs. Evil Morty in season 3 finale

Spoilers say that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 will end with an interesting confrontation between the real Rick and Morty's evil version. Episode 7 "The Ricklantis Mixup" aka "Tales from the Citadel" showed that President Morty and Evil Morty is the same person.

Campaign Manager Morty learned about this from Mysterious Rick who had the secret dossier. He then decided to shoot his boss, but he failed to do so and went to prison as a result. Evil Morty, on the other hand, won the hearts of all the Ricks and Mortys in the Citadel.

"Rick and Morty" season 3 Episode 8 "Morty's Mind Blowers" airs on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, on Cartoon Network.
