"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" goes on full "Orange is the New Black" mode as Jake, and Rosa are now behind bars for a crime they did not do. Check out the spoilers for "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" Season 5 Episode 1.

Rosa has it easy

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" is back to bring its unique but effective take on the cop procedural shows for the fifth time. The award-winning TV series will pick up after the events when Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz) were found guilty of a bank heist, and dirt cop Melanie Hawkins (Gina Gershon) was there to capture them.

Titled as "The Big House Pt. 1," the first episode of the show's fifth installment starts with the two quirky cops inside the prison, but only one of them is having a good time adapting this new chapter of their "B99" career.

The synopsis entails that it would not be difficult for her to stay in the women's correctional. Known for being the coolest grumpy detective, Rosa's devil-may-care attitude might even put her fellow inmates to their places.

One of the promotional photos features Holt and Terry as they communicate with Rosa behind glass doors. It seems like Rosa has a great time pressuring Capt. Ray Holt (Andre Braugher) and Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews) in fulfilling her outrageous wishes.

Meet Jake's new cellmate

EW also released images regarding some updates on the now rugged-looking Jake. He is now serving his own time on the other side of the jail after the surprising cliffhanger event from the Season 4 finale.

Co-creator and executive producer Dan Goor revealed this will be the most vulnerable Jake Peralta we have ever seen.

In addition to this, he will reportedly stay with a so-called cannibal as his cellmate.

Despite his weird urges, Caleb (Tim Meadows) wanted to be known for his skills in woodworking instead. He will also become a good companion for Jake, and they will look out for each other as comrades. However, Goor did tell the outlet that Jake will also know the real reason why Caleb went to prison in the first place.

Will this stain the new friendship between Jake and Caleb?

Citizen Jake in trouble

Having Caleb, the Cannibal as a friend might be the best thing for Jake, but it will immediately go south from there on. A certain situation will force him to join a gang in which Romero (Lou Diamond Phillips) leads.

It will not be an easy task since he will have to choose between Romero and the warden. Andy Samberg, who plays as Jake, said his character has to please the gang leader to prove that himself a good candidate for their group. Samberg added, "Jake goes looking for protection and Romero is a protector."

Charles Boyle's new look

There will be some big changes in the "B99" squad for the first installment which starts off with Charles Boyle's (Joe Lo Truglio) appearance.

The stress of watching Jake's trial turned his hair white last season. This time, Boyle will sport a reddish hued hair which makes him appear like a Donald Trump impersonator (sort of).

Boyle got it bad since Jake got caught. In a separate interview, Joe Lo Truglio shared this is affected him more than his divorce with Vivian in the past. However, Boyle is set to redeem himself beyond his depression, which will be seen in the upcoming episodes.

What's next for the squad?

Speaking of Boyle, he will do everything to prove Jake's innocence. His separate interview with EW hinted that Boyle and Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero) would focus on Hawkins in hopes that they can shorten their friends' jail time.

“So he’s doing everything he can, he’s tailing Hawkins [Gina Gershon], and he’s trying to take advantage of her making a mistake,” Truglio added.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" might also address Gina's (Chelsea Perretti) pregnancy from Season 10. She previously started a fling with Boyle's cousin played by "Shooter" actor Ryan Philippe.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" Season 5 Episode 1 "The Big House Pt. 1" airs on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, at 9:30 p.m on FOX. Stay tuned for more updates.
