Kelly Dodd told Daily Mail that her "marriage is over," adding that she has had "problems for years" in her relationship and that she had "had enough." The couple has been married for 11 years and shares an 11-year-old daughter.

The Bravo reality star concluded that she and her husband were not "good together" but that hopefully, for their daughter's sake, they could be friends when they were divorced.

She said that "right now we are both miserable" and they were just two people who "can't get along," even admitting to having tried couples therapy in a last-ditch attempt to save her relationship.

The 42-year-old mother-of-one was in Munich, Germany when the news of her divorce broke online. Michael Dodd, 60, has not been spotted in public yet.

Police involvement

The news of the Dodd's divorce came just after it was revealed that the police had been called to their home in Newport Beach, California 11 times over the past year, with six of the calls occurring over the course of three days in July.

Fans of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" know that Kelly and Michael have not had the best marriage over the years.

Their tumultuous marriage was on full display for the viewers and Kelly let people in on the fact that she had actually filed for divorce from her husband in 2012 but never went through with it. Michael Dodd even attempted to file a restraining order against his wife in 2014 after a domestic violence dispute, according to Radar Online.

The reality star revealed that their case had just been sitting with the attorney for the past few years, so she plans to file a motion and get a "bifurcated divorce" so that she can be out of her marriage "as soon as possible." Kelly said that she would prefer to "figure out the financials" later down the road and that her main priority was just to get out of the volatile relationship.

Dodd joined the cast of the Bravo reality series during Season 11 and according to the show's website, she has a "penchant for gossip and drinking champagne." This season, she has had a vaginal rejuvenation procedure and a breast reduction on camera. With a new body and a newly single relationship status, who knows what could be next for the bombshell brunette.
