Multiple Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift rarely makes a public appearance, and when she does, there must be a very important reason. One of her most recent appearances was on Sept. 2, 2017 during the wedding ceremony of her childhood best friend Abigail Anderson.

Taylor Swift at Her Friends’ Weddings

This was not the first time Swift attended a wedding of a close friend who is not a celebrity. She was the maid of honor at the wedding of Britany Maack, one of her childhood friends, and Benjamin LaManna in Pennsylvania on Feb. 20, 2016. On June 28, 2016, Anderson took to Instagram to announce her engagement to photographer Matt Lucier.

More than a year later, Swift was one of the bridesmaids at their wedding.

The wedding ceremony of Anderson and Lucier took place at the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown on Martha’s Vineyard in Duke County, Massachusetts. Swift arrived at the church with Anderson in a black car. The bride wore a Stella York wedding dress. On the other hand, Swift wore a burgundy-colored floor-length gown, which was in the same color as her fellow bridesmaids, an eyewitness told E! News. Anderson is the “redhead named Abigail” mentioned in the lyrics of “Fifteen,” a country pop song from Swift’s second studio album titled “Fearless.” The song was inspired by the singer’s freshman year of high school at Hendersonville High School in Sumner County, Tennessee.

As for Swift, it does not seem likely for her fans to see her as a bride anytime soon. She is currently in a relationship with British actor Joe Alwyn, who is filming "Mary Queen of Scots."

‘Look What You Made Me Do’

Big Machine Records will release Swift’s sixth studio album titled “Reputation.” The lead single of the upcoming album is titled “Look What You Made Me Do,” which was released on Aug.

25, 2017. Swift co-wrote “Look What You Made Me Do” with Jack Antonoff. British band Right Said Fred members Rob Manzoli, Fred Fairbrass and Richard Fairbrass are also credited as songwriters because an interpolation of their 1991 song "I'm Too Sexy" is included in Swift’s song.

Directed by Joseph Kahn, the music video of “Look What You Made Me Do” was viewed more than 43 million times one day after it was uploaded on YouTube.

This makes it the most viewed music video within 24 hours.

‘Ready For It’

On Sept. 2, 2017, Swift took to Instagram to tease “Ready for It,” the second single from “Reputation.” Also on Sept. 2, ESPN aired a one-minute preview of the song during a commercial break of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) football game between Florida State Seminoles and Alabama Crimson Tide, which was won by the latter.
