Pennywise the Dancing Clown ready to terrorize again
‘’It’’ premiered on September 5, 2017, and focuses on the lives of seven kids coming from the small town of Derry, Maine.
The R-rated movie stars Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise, a demon in disguise who comes back every 27 years appearing as a clown and luring the kids to their deaths. The movie opens with little Georgie playing in the street. His paper boat slips into the sewer when, out of nowhere, a clown pops up and introduces himself as ‘’Pennywise the Dancing clown.’’ Little Georgie tries to stay polite and go home safely but Pennywise eventually drags him into the sewer and Georgie joins the list of the missing kids.
The event prompts his brother Billy and six other children to try to find Pennywise and defeat this ancient evil entity that lurks beneath their small town. The plot revolves around this group of misfit kids who all need to deal with their inner demons first, before dealing with Pennywise. This is a story about friendship, persistence and looking fear in the eye.
Even those who might not be horror genre fans can find the story interesting. Stephen King created a masterpiece and the movie lived up to the expectations, according to many. The bar has been set very high for the upcoming sequel.
