Jennifer Lawrence recently gave an interview to E! News to talk about her newest movie "Mother!" which is slated to hit the cinemas on Friday. For the horror film, the award-winning actress played the role of a mother whose marriage with Javier Bardem's character will be disrupted by a mysterious couple.
J-Law takes role of a mother in new horror film directed by beau
The 27-year-old actress admitted that she initially thought the movie was too dark before she eventually saw the artistry behind the script. It is worth noting that "Mother!" is directed by Darren Aronofsky, who happens to be Jennifer Lawrence's boyfriend.
She went on to confess her desire to work side by side with her "genius" beau. "I believed in the metaphor and the message that Darren wanted to get across," she told the publication. "I have always wanted to work with him. He's unafraid. He's bold and I do agree with the message."
Jennifer Lawrence finally broke her silence and confirmed dating rumors with Darren Aronofsky in the September issue of Vogue magazine. She revealed that they started seeing each other after the production of "Mother!" concluded.
The actress said she felt an energy for the director although she was initially hesitant to date someone who graduated from Harvard University. “I normally don’t like Harvard people, because they can’t go two minutes without mentioning that they went to Harvard.
He’s not like that," she mused.
Actress gushes about her new found love
Darren Aronofsky is 21 years older than Jennifer Lawrence. But despite the age gap, the "Hunger Games" star has nothing but kind words to say about her director and partner. She even dubbed him an "amazing father" to his child with Rachel Weisz.
Unlike her past relationships, J-Law said her romance with the director has never confused her.
Hence, she is hoping that this trait is a good thing for their blossoming romance.
When asked about motherhood, the Golden Globe Awards winner admitted that her dream of becoming a mother at a young age has changed over time. In fact, the actress said that she has not given it much thought as time passes by.
"They are actually getting less and less as I get older, which is starting to worry me.
I don't think that's how it's supposed to work," she explained.
Jennifer Lawrence also recalled how she used to fantasize about becoming a mother when she was still 21 or 22. "Now I'm like...[shocked face]," she added.
