A Florida mother was murdered in her home

According to Fox News, a mother in Florida was attacked in her home by a masked man who murdered her. Makeva Jenkins was killed in June 2017 when an intruder shot her in the head.

The mother of three was in her home residence with her husband, her brother and her children when the incident occurred. Police suspect that Jenkin's became a target after boasted about her wealth online.

The 33-year-old woman posted a message to Facebook in which she claimed she went from being homeless to earning a steady income in just three years. Jenkin has claimed that she was earning six figure paychecks and revealed that she stuck with her business plan. The woman was clearly trying to inspire other individuals out there that they could do the same. However, the authorities suspect that by boasting about her wealth online Jenkins opened herself up to danger.

In a report by the New York Daily News, the intruder, who has now been identified as Joevan Joseph broke into Jenkin's home.

The pair got into an altercation when Joseph fired a fatal shot, which instantly killed the mother.

The teenager claims that he did not kill the victim

According to the New York Daily News, nineteen-year-old Joevan Joseph claims that he has nothing to do with the murder of Makeva Jenkins. He was arrested by the authorities and was presented to the courts on September 3.

The teenager was denied bond and has remained in police custody until the time of his trial, which has not yet been confirmed.

Family and friends were shocked to hear the news of Makeva's murder and are grieving for their loss. According to Fox News, one of Jenkin's relatives stated that everyone loved Makeva and that they could not understand how something like this had happened.

Like the police, the family fears that Makeva's Facebook post led to the intruder coming to her home.
