We are still two years away from the release of “Game of ThronesSeason 8, but thankfully, there are many speculations out there about the final season to occupy our time. The Season 7 finale stirred several theories concerning the major characters including Cersei Lannister. There are some interesting speculations about the queen that may or may not be true.

Cersei and Euron are secret lovers

We learned from Cersei’s conversation with her brother Jaime in the Season 7 finale that she went behind his back. She made a deal with Euron Greyjoy concerning the money she borrowed from the Iron Bank.

Cersei took a huge amount to pay the Golden Company to replenish her dwindling army. So when Euron said during the Dragonpit meeting that he would rather go home than fight the White Walkers, he actually meant go to Essos to fetch this group of sellswords.

We did not see this transaction happen, so who knows what other dealings Cersei and Euron made behind Jaime’s back. Fans speculate that they too had agreements that transpired in her chambers. Jaime may have been the only man Cersei slept with on screen in Season 7, but there is a possibility that she had been inviting Euron to her chambers in her brother’s absence. It is also worth mentioning that Euron had professed his love for the queen when he arrived at Kings Landing.

He also vowed to one day make her his bride.

Euron is the father of Cersei’s baby

It is easy to believe that Jamie is the father of Cersei’s unborn child since we saw them made love in the early part of Season 7. However, the queen made some off-screen dealings with Euron, so there is reason to believe that they slept together.

It is also interesting to point out that Cersei allowed Jaime to leave her in the finale, which should be a red flag already. If he is really the father of her baby then she should have asked him to stay for the sake of their child. However, Cersei did not do such, possibly because Euron is returning to Kings Landing with the Golden Company.

Interestingly, actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime in “Game of Thrones,” also doubts that Cersei told the truth about the baby’s father. He admitted in an interview with InStyle that at first, he believed Jaime to be the father. However, now he is not so sure anymore. “I don’t know how,” he said.

Cersei dies at the hands of Jaime

The long-held theory is that Jaime is the Valonqar or “Little Brother” in Maggy the Frog’s prophecy, who will choke Cersei to death. It is likely that Arya Stark fulfills this prediction. With Littlefinger dead, her access to Kings Landing just became easier. She can borrow his face and get closer to the queen. However, she would have to kill Jaime first before she can finally cross Cersei’s name on her kill list.
