On one occasion, most “Game of Thrones” fans are skeptical that Jamie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) is the father of Cersei’s (Lena Headey) unborn child. Theories have it that it could be Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbaek), given the queen’s revelation that she has plans with him behind the Kingslayer’s back. During the season finale, the queen told Jamie that Euron has sailed back to Essos to get more forces for the Lannisters to defend King’s Landing once the Long Night or the Great War set in. Apparently, the Kingslayer is furious that his twin sister has been seeing Euron without him knowing.
He left Cersei for good and one theory suggests that Jamie would be the real hero in the show and might kill his twin eventually.
Will Jamie kill his twin sister?
Different “Game of Thrones” theories and speculations have been swirling online including one that Jamie could be Azor Ahai reborn. The legendary warrior, who follows R'hllor, the Lord of Light, lived thousands of years ago and fought off the White Walkers, also called the Others, in the book. The warrior is known for taking his beloved wife’s life to temper the sword that he forged to defeat the undead. Theories have it that the Kingslayer might do the same to Cersei, his beloved sister and lover.
“Game of Thrones” fans know that Jamie can no longer fight fiercely because he’s already one-handed.
However, his sword that will be tempered through the living heart of the woman he loves will be the one to champion him to save Westeros. Azor Ahai crafted the flaming sword called Lightbringer, and spent one hundred days and nights to finish it. The steel shattered during the first two attempts when he tempered it in water and in a lion’s heart.
However, when he plunged it into Nissa Nissa’s heart (his wife), the sword was tempered, which he used to fight the Others.
Is it really over for Jamie and Cersei?
Just like Azor Ahai and Nissa Nissa, it might be the time for Jamie and Cersei’s romance to meet its end. The twins have shared three children together (they’re all dead) and have loved and adored each other since they were younger.
They are clearly incestuous but as what the Lannister queen said, it’s their way to keep their blood pure. Now that she claims that she is pregnant with her twin brother’s child, “Game of Thrones” star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau recently told InStyle that it might be a game-changer.
However, Coster-Waldau also said that Jamie he already have doubts if he really is the father of Cersei’s unborn baby. He also said that it makes sense if the Kingslayer ends up killing his twin sister. Either way, these theories and speculations will soon be answered once “Game of Thrones” Season 8 premieres in 2018 or in 2019.
