Amid other rumors suggesting that the couple is secretly engaged after about two and a half years of dating, the couple has been faced with allegations of a breakup after they began spending time away from one another. As fans of the couple have seen online, Taylor has been spending tons of time with his guy friends, including Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz, in recent months, while Cartwright has been hanging out with her "Vanderpump Rules" co-star Scheana Marie and other cast members, including Stassi Schroeder and Ariana Madix.
What is Jax and Brittany's relationship status?
While fans will have to wait and see whether or not Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright become engaged during the upcoming finale of their show's first season, Taylor spoke to Us Weekly magazine on September 26, and revealed that he and Cartwright have definitely not split. In fact, according to the reality star and bartender, he and Cartwright spend tons of time together because they not only live together but also work together at SUR Restaurant.
After meeting in Las Vegas in 2015, Taylor began dating Cartwright and quickly moved her into his West Hollywood apartment. A while later, Cartwright was hired at SUR Restaurant as a waitress alongside the likes of Scheana Marie and Katie Maloney.
As for the rest of the staff, Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval serve as bartenders while Lala Kent works at the restaurant as a host.

Amid production on "Vanderpump Rules: Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky," Taylor sparked rumors of a potential engagement when he posted an image of his longtime girlfriend wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring on his Instagram page.
Then, months later, while promoting the debut season of their reality show, Taylor shared a photo on Twitter in which Cartwright seemed to be wearing the same ring during an appearance on E!'s "The Daily Pop."
