Over the last week, Donald Trump has once again dominated the political headlines due to a wide-range of issues. In response, it didn't take long before comedian Bill Maher gave his thoughts during the latest edition of "real time."

Maher on Trump

In the over two years since Donald Trump officially entered the world of politics, he's made many enemies, including high-profiled names in Hollywood and in the media. With his controversial rhetoric and questionable campaign style, the former host of "The Apprentice" was quickly the headline on most news programs and late-night talk shows.

Over the last week, that controversy was once again evident for the president, as Trump handled the aftermath of Hurricane Irma in Florida, targeted Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, and ESPN during his Twitter rants, as well as bailing on the Republican Party by cutting deals with the Democrats on the debt ceiling and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). In response, Trump was met with heavy backlash from those on the political left and right, including many of his own supporters. Commenting on these issues was Bill Maher during the September 15 edition of "Real Time with Bill Maher" on HBO.

Opening his show with his routine monologue, Bill Maher wasted no time ripping into Donald Trump, poking fun at the commander in chief in the process.

"I know why you are so happy. We made it through the rain. We weathered Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma, and now we are back to sh*tstorm Donald," Maher said to the laughter of the audience. "The president has a new grandson. He's bald and always wetting himself, but he's very happy about the new baby," Maher continued in another shot at Trump.

The popular atheist then shifted to the Trump's recent attempt at working with Democrats.

"He thinks he's being bipartisan," Bill Maher said on Donald Trump's recent flip-flopping over DACA, stating, "This isn't bipartisan, this is bi-polar." "Today he said Selena Gomez has to go back, but her kidney could stay," Maher said in reference to the singer's recent kidney transplant.

Not stopping there, Maher hit back at Trump's recent meeting with Democrats Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. "He wined and dined Schumer and Pelosi. Well they dined, he wined," the comedian added.

Bill Maher then mocked Donald Trump's biggest supporters for turning on him over his recent deal with the Democrats. "The deplorables think this is deplorable!" Maher said, while adding, "They are burning their 'Make America Great Again' hats." Maher called out Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and Ann Coulter for their recent meltdowns over Trump's latest political moves.

While Bill Maher and others take the time to troll Donald Trump and the current administration, the billionaire real estate mogul is facing serious issues in the White House. With his inability to get on the same page with his own party, and with Democrats holding his feet to the fire, Trump is sitting on an approval rating of just 35 percent in the most recent round of polling.
