For fans of the NBC hit drama series "This Is Us," it seems like an eternity since season 1 came to an end. It was March 14 when the season finale aired, and fans have been eagerly awaiting for fall to arrive and the new season to begin.

Episode 1

The first episode of season 2 of "This is Us" is titled "A Father's Advice" and will likely bring in a record number of viewers. The episode will take place during the Big Three's birthday party where the trio are all turning 37.

During the episode, Randall and his wife Beth will debate a big life change.

Viewers will also see Kate, who is now living with her fiancé, take the first steps in pursuing her new passion and career in singing.

The other member of the Big Three, Kevin, will try to figure out ways to balance the demands of his acting career while making his relationship with his ex-wife workout. Another highlight of the episode will be seeing Jack and Rebecca deal with the fallout of their big fight that ended season 1.

When season 1 of "This is Us" came to a close, some fans were a bit disappointed because they were hoping to find out how Jack Pearson, played by Milo Ventimiglia, died. The cause of his death was never disclosed in the season finale, but viewers did learn how Jack and his wife Rebecca, played by Mandy Moore, became a couple.

The episode flashed back to the night when the couple met and even further back to show a bit about who they were before they became husband and wife.
